Hi,

I'm Cath and welcome to the Coastal Creativity website!

My aim is to create timeless pieces of beauty that evoke happy memories of carefree days when we walked at the water's edge, picked up shells from the beach and wrote our names in the sand. My work springs from a deep love of the coast; its textures, forms and colours.

From my studio in Bath I work as an artisan jeweller inspired by the Somerset & Dorset coast and countryside .

Having studied for a Biology degree part-time whilst working at Bath University, I embarked on an adult education Silver-Smithing course whilst developing a career in IT and raising a young family.

I have over 25 years of Silver-Smithing experience and I also qualified as an adult tutor over 12 years ago. My experiments in wirework later became a specialised course at Arts University Bournemouth which I developed and taught part-time.

I enjoy (when we can again ) exhibiting at artisan fairs, garden festivals and nationwide events where I can spend time listening to my customers and hearing their coastal stories.
